Company Reports Trading. 1st Year Ending March 2024

Our Story

The ZAK & ZIL journey started in 2017 without having any components, attributes or structural directives. We attended several events, exhibitions, conferences, trade fairs and seminars meeting with other corporates and researching the business markets trying to evaluate with just £200 in the pocket during the economic effects of Brexit which were a major area of debate.

Several testing methods and pilot projects were introduced to me as a individual. The implementation of such tasks were taking up time and resources and incurring cost  from day one in 2017 without a positive result. It was just the start of a no hope ride which took us to Europe and Scandinavian territories and all over the UK in 2018.  R&D as a business startup with small scale projects, finding ways to fund our project work was challenging and we were unsure of who we were going to become as each day passed the cost continued to build with a negative balance sheet.  Where are we going wrong with our R&D.  Do we say Made In Germany or do we say Made In Italy or Do we say Made In UK.   It was just one question after another.  How do we succeed in the long term. What materials do we use. What colours do we use. What shades do we use. What should the logo look like. What should the product be. Will the impact and implications of Brexit force us to become a German GmbH.   Our strategy and planning, research, development, testing, and launch programme was initiated during the EU Referendum whilst many businesses were effected by trade barriers. Red tape, lack of workers, huge hikes in overheads - Britain's small and medium enterprises sustained a disproportionate amount of the damage.

The biggest challenge is getting a business up and running. The challenge can sometimes take 1 year. Sometimes 1-5 years and  this challenge creates liability and capital and reserves.   It took us almost six years.

Prior to  2019 we had decided if any project was to develop then it would have to require a business branding concept and it was in 2019 we were at effective and successful innovation with our first 4 products. This was when I gave myself the Title "Brand Founder/Innovator" and started my focus towards the next stages of our project.  How do we create a complete business model and more products. How do we keep our costs low and our profit high.

We have been at proactive engagement with other businesses B2B throughout our journey since 2017 and trying to find ways of development.

Prior to 2020 we had several assets which lead to the formation of our company Zak & Zil Ltd in 2023. The focus of the business since 2023 is towards display and  presentation, sales and profits, introducing more products and hoping to continue with more R&D. The overall aim is to strengthen the organization and build our inventory.

The reason why such products were developed, manufactured and ordered from overseas factories and UK based firms for branding were simply because of giants like Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior, Hermes, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Channel, Prada, Burberry and Fendi. It was very clear and obvious that big brands and luxury products is something that everyone wants to enjoy and wear and fascianted with. So we decided to create our own. We never thought about wearing them
but we definitely thought about becoming them. Our mission is still alive and has lead to further incorporations and corporate bodies such as ZAK & ZIL Clothing LTD, ZAK & ZIL Fashion Revolution Ltd and a professional body IOD membership. Today the business operates from three prestigious offices in the heart of Central London.

It is such a big project that has developed into a trading business and can continue easily for the next 100 years with lots of  business growth if in the hands of the right people.

The name was choosen for business branding not just for being the names of my children but also for having similarities with the nursery rhyme characters Jack & Jill who are also traditionally syblings.
